The first generation lens can be identified by the manual aperture lock lever on the back of the lens.
Unscrew trim ring. You can use one of those rubber jar lid grips or a large rubber band for added friction.
Three screws retain the front lens barrel.
A lens spanner is used to remove the front element group.

The aperture mechanism is also held in place by three screws.

Flood cleaning the aperture assembly in lighter fluid.
Clean up residual oil with lint-free cloth and reassemble in reverse order.
