With film door open, insert the shaft of a screwdriver in the Film Rewind Fork, and unscrew Rewind Knob.
All done here.
Using a spanner wrench (or similar tool), remove Film Advance Lever trim nut.
Remove Spring Washer.
Remove Advance Lever.
All done here.
Set Shutter Speed Dial to 500 and ASA to 100. Using a spanner wrench (or similar tool), remove pin face screw and lift off the knob. The brass disk with the four notches is the top portion of a gear the transmits dial setting to the light meter. They put a felt pen mark on one of the slots at the factory. This is where the pin of the shutter-speed dial should fit in.
Lift off ASA/Shutter Speed Dial.
Mark slot Shutter Speed Dial pin was fitted to aid reassembly.
Three small flat blade screws hold the Shutter Button Lock Lever.
You're done here.
Remove the two srews on either side of the Viewfinder.
Remove screw above Film Door Hinge.
Remove Battery Cover.
Top cover can now be removed.
Take your time. Some wiggling may be necessary.
Two screws hold Viewfinder in place.
Viewfinder removed to allow cleaning of Pentaprism glass.
Close-up, right-hand side.
Close-up, left-hand side.
To remove the bottom cover, remover the two screws on either side of the Film Door Release Lever.
Remove the screw on the Film Door Hinge side.
Note areas of old lubrication. Clean off old grease and relubricate.
