Step-by-step tutorial for removing the Pentax Program Plus top cover.
Remove the screw retaining the film advance lever plastic cover.
Lift off the plastic cover.
Remove the film advance lever retaining nut with a spanner. This is a LEFT-HAND THREAD nut - loosen by turning CLOCKWISE.
Lift off the film advance lever.
All done here.
With film door open, stick your screwdriver in the fork of the rewind shaft, and unscrew the rewind knob.
Remove the ASA dial retaing nut with a spanner wrench.
Remove ASA dial.
All done here.
Remove the two srews on either side of the viewfinder window.
Remove the two srews on either side of the front trim plate.
Carefully lift off top cover.
Support cover so as not to stress the wire for flash hot shoe.
