Remove the action grip.
Make sure battery is removed before proceding.
Pry off the soft plastic screw cover on the eyepiece shutter lever.
Remove the eyepiece shutter lever.
With film door open, stick your screwdriver in the fork of the rewind shaft, and unscrew the rewind knob.
Remove the ASA dial retaining ring.
Remove the ASA dial.
Remove the large black washer.
You're done here.
Remove the film advance lever cap screw.
Remove spring washer.
Remove plastic washer.
Remove film advance lever.
Lift off film advance cam.
Remove clip retaining mode and double exposure selector switches.
Remove washer.
Remove mode selector lever.
Remove brass washer.
Remove double exposure selector lever.
Remove LED indicator trim ring.
Remove shutter button assembly by unscrewing the bezel. Great care must be taken as it is very tight. I wrap bezel with a rubber band to protect from marring. Don't break the LED bulb!
Remove AE mode selector knob.
Remove black washer.
Remove screw retaining AT dial guard.
Don't lose the ball bearing. A dab of grease will hold it in place.
Remove plastic guard.
You're done here.
Remove the lens mount trim plate by removing the four screws. Then remove the two top plate screws hidden behind this plate, as well as the ones on either side of camera.
Remove the two screws on either side of the eyepiece and lift off top cover (you may need to tilt cover slightly to clear AT dial).
It's always a good idea to clean the dust from between eyepiece and pentaprism while you're in here. Remove the two screws and lift off eyepiece.
Compressed air usually does the trick.
The swipe contacts on the AT selector dial have broken off on this camera, rendering this camera useless. To replace the dial, remove these two screws.
Remove the brass retaining screw.
Hold back the spring-loaded detent arm and lift off dial.
AT dial removed.
The swipe contacts have come loose on this AT dial. Use the previous button to help guide you through reassembly procedure.
Compressed air usually does the trick.
The swipe contacts on the AT selector dial have broken off on this camera, rendering this camera useless. To replace the dial, remove these two screws.
Remove the brass retaining screw.
