Removing the top and wind-side covers of the Yashica-Mat 124.
Peel back leatherette to remove front cover screws.
Peel back leatherette to remove front cover screws.
Peel back leatherette to remove front cover screws.
Remove the T nut for the shutter button lock with a spanner and lift off the lock lever.
Peel back leatherette to remove front cover screws.
Peel back leatherette to remove front cover screws.
Front leatherette removed to show screw locations.
Unscrew the front lens group of the taking lens.
Rotate the shutter speed selector towards Bulb to access the shutter front cover retaining ring set screw.
Mark the retaining ring, remove set screw, and unscrew the ring to remove shutter front cover.
This particular camera had been dropped on it's head, pushing the housing into the ASA dial and expsure meter needle so they couldn't move.
After bending the housing to restore proper clearance for the dial and meter, the cover plate is reinstalled. Note new light seal foam.
To remove the wind-side cover, first remove the crank handle screw shaft and lift off handle.
Plastic rub block.
Wave washer.
Remove coupling base.
Peel back (or completely remove) the leatherette to access side cover screws.
Remove side cover screws.
Side cover screws removed.
Side cover removed.
Side cover removed.
